End of Swimming Lessons
Connor did really well with swimming lessons. By the end he was having fun jumping off the side and keeping his head under water longer. I think that some private lessons would really do him so good. He still talks about the accident from last year, hopefully one day that will disappear.

Mother's Day
For Mother's Day this year we did a very laid back celebration mainly because we were still getting used to getting two kids around town. We took our time getting ready in the morning and then headed to Swanky's to eat lunch with Gigi and Big Daddy.
After lunch we headed to get my Mother's Day gift, a new phone! My old phone was moving so slow and it was definitely time for an upgrade. Of course getting a new phone takes about 3 hours, nothing ever moves fast pace in that store.
Once the phone had been purchased and updated I headed to the nail shop for a relaxing pedicure, which followed with a trip to the grocery store alone. It's the little things in life these days that are so enjoyable!

Walker's Newborn Session
Walker was 9 days old when we did his newborn photo session. I was expecting him to sleep right through the whole thing, but I was completely wrong because he did the exact opposite! This was my first outing with the boys by myself. Of course Connor was over taking pictures after the first 2 minutes and then Walker started screaming. Thankfully the photographer was very understanding and patient, but by the time we left I didn't know if I was going to have the energy to drive home. However I'm very happy with how the pictures turned out!
This is one of my favorites!

Walker's Birth Announcement
I've found that having cards designed on Etsy and then having them printed at Costco work best for us. I wish I would have known this little trick when Connor was born. I absolutely love how it turned out!

This and That

Ashley came to visit several weeks ago. It was nice visiting with her, I miss our daily conversations at work!

Trying to squeeze in appointments while I'm still off...Connor went to Gigi's for a dentist appointment.

Mom went to Seattle for a work trip and came back with these cute hats for the boys. Obviously Walker's is a little big, but it'll be perfect this coming winter.

This is what our nights look like at our house. Evenings seem to be Walker's crankiest time of the day.

What A Weekend!!!
Back at the beginning of March (before I had Walker) I asked Matt if he was going to Talladega in May. He said he wasn't even going to ask to go because Walker wouldn't be very old and he didn't want me to have to be home alone with both kids. Well I encouraged him to go and told him I'd be fine...24 hours later, he had the trip planned! (Apparently I had no idea what life was going to be like with two kids!)
Matt left Thursday evening for his "work trip" (that's what we told Connor) and he'd be coming home on Monday evening. Sure enough Connor woke up Friday morning and said he had a frog in his throat and couldn't go to school. I knew he was just pulling this stunt because Matt went out of town.
Friday afternoon, school called and said Connor had a fever of 101.9. Of course someone in the class had strep throat so I made him a doctor's appointment right away. We went in and the strep test came back positive. He had to get antibiotics and take it easy. Off the the pharmacy we went (did I mention that it was raining cats and dogs and about 40 degrees). By the time we went to the doctor and then to the pharmacy, I was completely soaked from toting two kids around (I'm still not very fast).
Saturday morning I was up early with Walker and Connor came downstairs around 6:30. As soon as I saw his face, all I could do was stare. One eye was almost swollen shut and the other eye lid was pretty puffy, plus his whole face was puffy. I called mom to see if I could drop Walker off so I could take Connor to open clinic. Sure enough he had a mild allergic reaction to amoxicillin.
After some benadryl and a toy from Target, he was feeling much better! On Sunday, we went to Angelina's graduation brunch. I can't believe she is graduating from high school, it really makes me feel so old!
Needless to say, I could not wait for Matt to return!
