Cruise, Day 4

Day 4 of the cruise had us docked in port at Progresso, Mexico.  We had about the same amount of time off the ship for the day and we had another beach day planned.  The resort at Progresso was a lot more crowded because there were three ships docked that day.

Our ship is on the left; Carnival Elation

I thought our ship was pretty big, until we docked next to this massive ship!

This pretty water is very deceiving; I about broke my pinkie toe on all the rocks.  We spent most of the day playing in the sand or floating in the pool.

Poor Connor, only had drink cups to build a sand castle

He seemed happy with just the cups!

Then I gave in and bought this 3 piece set for $15!

Connor fell asleep on the bus ride back and he was not a happy camper when we woke him up

The ship was really beautiful! At times you wondered where everyone else was.

Cruise, Day 3

Day 3 was our first stop of two stops.  We arrived in Cozumel early Wednesday morning and we were in port from about 8 until 5.  Our excursion for the day was an all inclusive beach day at a local resort.  The resort was about a 45 minute bus ride away.

This was our one group pic, unfortunately the camera hadn't adjusted to the humidity yet

If you look close, all the pink dots are flamingos...they were everywhere!

Connor was too little for the cruise slide, so he really took advantage of this slide at the resort

Happy Birthday Stephanie!

Sometimes a spoon is just too much work!

The pool was so pretty at night.  Every night they would drain the pool and fill it back up with ocean water in the morning.  When you got out of the pool your skin felt like all the moisture had been sucked out from the salt!

Cruise, Day 2

Day 2 of the cruise was spent cruising down to Cozumel, Mexico.  Connor was not interested in the kids playroom/daycare the cruise offered, so we were always on our toes trying to keep him entertained.  The weather was perfect and of course we had no problem finding good food to eat!

I think we played miniture golf 3 times a day

The lunch buffet had ice cream, which was delicious

So basically Connor ate ice cream at every meal except breakfast

Cruise, Day 1

At the end of June, we went on a family cruise as our Christmas present from my mom and Roy.  In total we had 11 people (Mom, Roy, me, Matt, Connor, Stephanie, Brent, Angelina, Brittany, Rachel, and Bradley)!  I wouldn't be lying if I said at times it felt like we were trying to heard cats.  All in all, we had a wonderful time!

We left out of New Orleans on Monday afternoon and headed towards Cozumel for our first stop.  Monday afternoon we settled into our state rooms and waited for our luggage to be dropped off.

Dinner was at 6 every evening and I have to admit that I was skeptical of how the food would taste. To my surprise the food was absolutely delicious and our servers couldn't have been better! Every night there was a different menu. We each chose an appetizer, main course, and dessert!

Connor got chocolate ice cream every night for dessert

I have to admit Angry Birds on the iPhone was a life saver at dinner

The kid was bouncing off the walls the first night after dinner

Corn hole was a game Connor enjoyed playing in the evenings

It was boys (Brent and Matt) vs. girls (me and Stephanie). If my memory serves me right the girls won!

Connorisms

Connor says things that I don't want to forget.  Three isn't always the easiest age (due to him testing all the boundaries), but he's definitely very vocal and you NEVER know what is going to come out of his mouth!!!

Here are just a few of the most recent things:

Water lemon (two words for Connor and translates to watermelon for everyone else)

The other day when I picked Connor up from school it was starting to thunder.  We were half way through the parking lot and Connor starts yelling (right after thunder) "IT'S GOD! Mom, did you hear GOD?" It completely caught me off guard, not to mention everyone was looking at us.  He proceeded to tell me that God was playing basketball and that's why we were able to hear him.

Connor has said on several different occasions, that when he grows up he'd like to be a dog.  Today Cooper had her stitches removed at the vet's office and Connor asked "Cooper got to see her small friends and her big friends? When I grow up and I'm a dog, I want to go visit my friends." So I asked, are you a dog today? "No, Mom.  I'm not a dog today, when I grow up I'll be a dog!"

Good night dreams (translation: Sweet Dreams)

Sidewards (translation: combination of backwards and sideways)

Sumscream (translation: sunscreen)

Never a dull moment with this little boy!
