Christmas 2012

I have to say that this year Connor was SO EXCITED for Santa!  You definitely know you're a parent when you're more excited to see your child's face on Christmas day instead of what's wrapped under the tree for you.

Connor's requests from Santa were: truck and trailer, school bus, nerf gun, roping dummy

Pure excitement

Of course Santa brought 2 nerf guns; one for Connor and one for daddy

This will probably be the only doll this house ever sees!  I couldn't resist getting one for Connor so he could "practice" before baby brother made his debut

He loves his baby!

Gigi and Big Daddy stopped by to see all his new toys. After Christmas at our house we headed to Yaya's and then Great Grandaddy's...of course I got no pictures at either house.

Christmas Eve 2012

Christmas Eve dinner is always at my mom's house.  This year was supposed to be laid back with no presents, since we had all taken our Christmas Cruise in June...of course, my mom and Roy went above and beyond as usual!

Connor was playing with his remote car from Gigi and Big Daddy, of course it later turned into "sibling rivalry" (Matt and Connor) on whose turn it was!

Connor's Christmas Program

Connor had his first Christmas program at school.  Leading up to the program I kept asking him what songs they were going to sing, to which he responded "I don't know".  The theme of this year's program was classical Christmas.  The program consisted of the 3 year olds through 5th grade.

Zoo Lights

A tradition that we have started with Caroline and Chris is doing something Christmas-y with Connor.  This year we headed over to Zoo Lights.  We really didn't know what to expect since it was everyone's first time.  Connor was most excited about ice skating!  I was expecting to see a lot of the animals, but they were all blocked off.

Lacing up

I sat on the side lines for ice skating, so Caroline took over the mom duties!

Thanksgiving 2012

This year we had Thanksgiving at our house.  It seems that I'm pregnant every time that we host!  It was a pretty laid back day.  We ate around lunch time since I had to work the next day and then headed to Yaya's for dinner.

Baby #2 {21 Weeks}

How far along? 21 weeks

Maternity clothes? This is going to be a yes from here on out!

Stretch marks? Not yet and I'd like to keep it that way

Sleep: Still sleeping through the night; I have an occasional foot cramp that will wake me up

Best moment this week: Connor is really starting to get excited about the baby, he now refers to the baby as "my baby".  Several times a week I hear, "When is my baby going to be here?".

Miss Anything? An occasional glass of wine would be nice, especially with the holidays coming up

Movement: The boy is definitely moving, but every time Matt puts his hand on my stomach he immediately stops

Food cravings: I think I burnt myself out on the breakfast sandwiches

Anything making you queasy or sick: I've really been feeling pretty good

Gender: It's a boy!

Labor Signs: None

Symptoms: Only compliant this week is a sore back

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: I've been in a good mood, ready to get the room organized and decorated.

Looking forward to: All the delicious Thanksgiving food!!!

Baby #2 {20 Weeks}

How far along? 20 weeks

Maternity clothes? Definitely wearing maternity clothes
Stretch marks? Not yet and I'd like to keep it that way.

Sleep: The time change seems to have my internal clock off
Best moment this week: Hearing that everything looked really well at the anatomy scan visit

Miss Anything? Not missing too much of anything this week
Movement: The kicks are there, nothing strong enough for Matt to feel yet
Food cravings: Still breakfast sandwiches

Anything making you queasy or sick: The evenings are slowly getting a little better
Gender: It's a boy!

Labor Signs: None

Symptoms: When I get up really fast, I have a sharp pain.  Sometimes I just forget that my body is doing so major stretching.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: I'm in a pretty good mood most days, however, I have my moments.

Looking forward to: Getting ready for the holiday season!

Baby #2 {19 Weeks}

Today I had my official gender ultrasound and anatomy scan at my doctor's office.  I told her ahead of time that we were going to a local place to find out on the weekend, but this would be 100% confirmation that I was still having a boy.

The appointments always start with the dreaded weight check and so far this pregnancy I have gained 7 pounds.  I have to say, some days it feels like 20 pounds but I was happy with my number.  Next, I waited and waited and waited.  Apparently newborns were dictating her schedule that afternoon!

The anatomy scan went really well. We are for sure still having a boy and the baby had no problem letting us know. The heart was working great and he has 10 tiny fingers and 10 tiny toes.  However, what's not so tiny is the baby in general.  The doctor said he's measuring a week ahead of schedule and we know the due date is not incorrect.

So with that being said, I've been put on sugar/carbohydrate "diet".  She told me to enjoy the holiday, but not to over indulge in the sweets.  To be honest, it's not the sweets I'm concerned about.  I have a love for all things pasta and rice, so this little "diet" is going to be rough for me!

(19 weeks 3 days)

The profile looks exactly like Connor and I'm starting to prepare myself for another Matt mini me.  My next doctor's appointment is for the beginning of December.  I really can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going!

Halloween 2012

Connor wanted to be a football player for Halloween this year! To be honest, I may have suggested being a  football player several times.  I have an ulterior motive for a football outfit and newborn pictures.

I custom ordered the jersey in early September

Big Daddy out did himself on the helmet

Seriously, how cute is he???

I picked the #8 because that was Matt's number in high school

The eye stickers completed the costume!

Grandaddy came over to visit

Gigi and Big Daddy also stopped by

After this picture, Matt and Connor were off...I think I have eaten more of his candy than he has!
